Driving talent forward: Volkswagen Abu Dhabi sponsors WorldSkills Asia Abu Dhabi 2023

Volkswagen Abu  Dhabi is proud to announce its sponsorship of WorldSkills Asia Abu Dhabi  2023. The skill sponsorship will see Volkswagen Abu Dhabi provide up to six  cars and four Skoda models from its fleet to enable student competitors to  develop and showcase their technical skills at the world-renowned  competition.

Taking place from  27 - 29 November, 2023, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin  Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the  Executive Council of Abu Dhabi, the second WorldSkills Asia Competition will  bring together member countries from all over the Asian region to promote  technical and vocational skills for the development of Asian youth.

All cars from the  Volkswagen Abu Dhabi fleet will contribute specifically towards the  'Transportation and Logistics' segment of the Skills Competition. Six of  these, along with additional spare parts, will be used by participants to  showcase their skills in the areas of maintaining light vehicles and  diagnosing complex problems, while proposing effective and efficient  solutions within commercial cost and time constraints.

Spectators and  participants alike can also experience the thrill of driving one of  Volkswagen's iconic models at the dedicated simulator booth located at the  venue.

WorldSkills Asia  Abu Dhabi is organized by the Abu Dhabi Center of Technical and Vocational  Education and Training (ACTVET) and will have more than 500 participants,  including competitors, experts, and workshop managers, from more than 30  countries competing in 27 technical and vocational skill-based competitions.
