 With
the expansion in the oil industry and revenues, project management
services have assumed importance in the UAE. The complexity of projects,
involvement of many parties at various stages, tight schedules,
cost control and allied factors prompted clients to assign project
management teams to handle major projects. This way they can ensure
successful delivery of their projects within the allocated timeframe
and budget.
Over the last decade, more companies and government organizations
in the UAE and the Gulf region became aware of the advantages of
employing project management firms to control their projects. Capitalizing
on the Group's strong hold in engineering and construction industries
in the UAE since 1979, Ali & Sons established Optima, a dedicated
project management service provider in 2002. A promising subsidiary
of the parent group, Optima has already offered consultancy services
to two projects:
- Car Parking Building in Mussafah: A multistory building with
a total built-up area of 20,000 square meters, to be utilized
for storing brand new cars.
- New VW Workshop & Showroom in Mussafah: This 17,000 square
meters facility includes a large workshop for mechanical and body
shop repairs, spare parts storage and a new showroom.
